Pumpkin Carving....

Well, these are the kid's finished pumpkins. I helped the kids gut them out the night before, and then Dewey helped them carved them before work the next day. They each told him how the would want it to look and helped him draw (and of course I didn't have my camera handy until we were done...) Then they each got to decide where to put them on the porch! We had a lot of fun, but we also missed carving with Dejah. The last few years she has been our carving buddy. She was able to spread her carving abilities to her other neices and nephews this year! HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

So while I was cooking dinner one night, Willard started shuffling though the box of coats and gloves and this is what he found....

Dejah & Brian's Visit

Dejah and Brian came to see us and our new home in Pocatello. It was a while ago, but I did take some pictures... As you can see, the kids just MAULED them while they were here. It was so much fun to catch up and visit. I really miss Dejah, as she has become one of my best friends. A little history here, the first time I went to Dewey's home in Georgetown, I slept in Dejah's bed and Dejah slept on the floor. She and I talked very late into the night, and I remember hoping I wasn't rude when my eyelids finally shut, even though she was still talking!!! When we bought the Bountiful House, I loved it when Dej would come have girls night with me and we would stay up watching chick flicks and talking. I have been really spoiled by her presence! So it was a lot of fun for us to have her and Brian come to visit.

Halloween Party!!!

We were able to go to Jeff & Allison's ward Halloween party. It was a lot of fun!! Jeff was a man riding an ostrich, Ally was a penguin, Jake was an alligator, Ellen was .... I can't remember, she took off her costume, Ivan was a Lion, Ben was OPtimus, Will was Bumblebee, JoE was a dragon, and Ephers was a puppy.

The kids played - get the donut off the string, which was really cute. The younger ones just chose to use there hands, but Ben did really good without them.

Remembering Back....

So I was thinking about what we were up to last year at this time. After halloween, we wanted to get rid of our pumpkins we didn't have time to carve. We took the kids up the Canyon by the Bountiful B and brought the shot gun.















The Kids all took turns sitting on or stomping the pumpkins.
















































Anyway, Dad took the last turn and shot a hole all the way through it!!


Then at last we tossed it over the edge and watched it fall to the bottom of the ravine! Lots of fun!

Ephraim Crawling - 2nd Day

So Ephers is ALMOST 10 months and he is finally moving... I say finally because Ben (my first) was walking by this time. It has actually been very nice not having the baby be mobile. Now we have to baby proof everything and pick up the little toys! But watching them learn is so much fun. He has mastered it now, but he had been using one leg with the foot down instead of his knee and looked like a little stink bug. He is also pulling up and occasionally standing. Boy, I am not ready for that!!!

IT SNOWED!!!

So we decided to take the kids out in the inch of snow... We were just so excited for the snow it didn't matter that there wasn't very much of it. This kids still had so much fun trying to throw snowballs at me and each other. The only problem they faced was that the were running out of snow, and mom was holding a camera and would be upset if it got wet. Dad came out too and kept lobbing snow at the kids. I don't really understand why cold water makes so many kids happy, but it does, and I get to capture it in pictures. I didn't even have the heart to tell the twins that there really wasn't enough snow for snow angels. We hope there will be more snow soon, but not this weekend because I want to come to SLC and Dewey can't ride his motorbike if it is wet....but he does just fine in the cold!!!
