Snowy Outing

This is up Mink Creek. We went for a little hike. See the little saddle in the middle? That is where we hiked up to.

This is the view from the top of the hike.

Willard & Joselyn during the hike.
Dewey and Ben coming down. Ben was hiding and throwing snowballs at Dewey.

Ben and Willard decided to climb the rocks, and then slide down them.

I was up the side hill and Dewey took the dogs and the twins down the fast way and beat me! Tic actually found an animal hide and we had to chase him a little ways to get it away from him. Thankfully we had Annie, and Tic is more interested in her than the hide.
Look, he made it to the top!!
So did JoE!

Just at the bottom on the way up. We had a lot of fun, but there was really a lot more MUD than snow! Eph even had fun, but went right to sleep when we got home!

Husband to the RESCUE!

I have an awesome husband! The kids have been sick with the croup and ear infections... needless to say they have also not been sleeping well, especially Ephraim, who we can't give cough meds to. Anyway, I also have not been sleeping very well because I am taking care of the kids, and in return, the house has been in shambles... laundry all over the floor, garbage, books and toys all over the playroom, and the kids rooms... don't get me started!!

Last night my Knight in Shining Armor sent me to bed early and took the evening shift with the sick kids! The kids did good for daddy, and Eph didn't wake me up until three YEAH!! And then this morning, without prompting, daddy started getting the kids to pick up their rooms and the playroom. We had the WHOLE house cleaned before noon (which when I do it myself of course takes much longer!!)

Needless to say, Dewey is great, but I have always known that. I just wanted to share it with the world too! I love you Superman!

Croupy is Crappy

Ok, I am COMPLETELY done with this season. First we had the flu bug for two weeks. We stayed healthy for 10 days and now we all have the croup, plus ear infections, and the kids are tired, feverish, grumpy, and sick. Oh, wait, that is me too! It is so hard to take care of kids when they are sick, not just because it is hard to make them feel better, but because when they are up all night, so am I and then I am so exhausted that just filling their needs is hard work. When Dewey left for work yesterday, I told them that I wasn't going to do ANYthing other than sitting on the floor with the kids. That is how I feel today to, but if I don't clean the dishes or do some laundry, no one will. I wonder how much a maid for the day would cost me.... hee hee hee! My kids are really good though, as long as they have coloring books (or painting) and a movie, they will be quiet so I can close my eyes on the floor! What a great mom, eh? Although, Willard has a tendency to forget I am resting and will run at full speed and jump on me whe I am lying on the floor. JoE just likes to cuddle with me, and Ben will read me stories! I just love this age. Ben is SO good at reading. Last night I caught Eph in his lap while he was reading and showing him a book about kittens. It was so sweet! Ok, I am rambling, can you tell I am tired. I wish all of you good health and great nights of sleep!

TAGGED: First Date.....

TAG: What did you do on your First DATE with your spouse???

We had met online, so this was our first meeting. Dewey picked me up at my Aunt Betsy's house and took me to Temple Square. We watched the movie at the Joseph Smith Memorial Building and walked around a little. As we were leaving, I think we both felt like we didn't want the night to end... we decided to go by Wendy's and have the classic Frosty and Fries!!! When he dropped me off at the door, he was so nervous... I think I got a handshake... gotta love those RM'S!!!
