It is fun having some family time. We have been playing wii tournaments and it is fun to see the kids play their dad... and sometimes even beat him. I was laughing so hard when Joë scored 183 on bowling. Dewey beat her my 8 points, but they both laughed because I only scored 101!!!
Things are quite hectic here during the summer. Since we are all home we are trying to find things to keep us happy and busy. We found out about lunch in the park which is nice, and thankfully it does cook off at night so we can go for long walks!
Two things that are funny. Dewey was cleaning out the garage and found the catches equipment that needed to be put away. After they were done cleaning and came inside they found Ephraim downstairs sporting his halloween costume! Isn't he the cutest catcher ever???
Also, I now know what motor butt came from. Ruby still doesn't crawl, but scoots on her bottom. She is pretty quick and it is hilarious to watch her in action. I will get a video of her when I remember to.

Father's Day
This is Dewey's card the kids made for him! They each wrote what they felt on the inside and chose their colors!!
We went on a scavenger hunt the kids planned. This clue was It’s somewhere that you like to be when working really hard. It’s a big room that opens up to both back and front yard.
This one was
From here you will need to search a place that is often wet. You clean off and rinse off And then your set to jet! |
Now you need to think where you would go to find your dirty clothes.
Its somewhere in the house, you’ll have to use your nose!
To find the next clue you’ll have to climb a famous tree. Well you could climb or sit beneath, I guess you’ll have to see!
Here are the kids waiting for Dad to come to the last place...
And last but definitely not least you’ll have to take a peek. Your gift you’ll find inside a place where you can eat and sleep!
Dewey always likes to guess what his gifts are. He usually can 99% of the time, but these had him stumped!! We had even given him clues!!
The best part about these were the fact that the kids spent their own money to buy them. I think I paid 73 cents and the kids paid the rest! That touched dad the most! It was a fun way to celebrate!
We had a wonderful Father's Day!! It was a relaxing day having the kids make breakfast (with some supervision) and then delivering dad's favorite biscuits and gravy with eggs and bacon to dad's bed. Then we did the hunt and it was fun to watch the kids help dad, trying to remember where the clues led but not give it away at the same time!
I am so lucky to have Dewey! He is a wonderful father and he loves us all so much. It has almost been ten years since we were married but it seems like it was only yesterday. The kids adore him and always want to walk on his back or take him for a bike ride or go shooting with him. They love when he pitches to them or sits with them to talk. He is a good listener and also has a lot of fun stories to tell. He has shown them what it means to work hard and I love that he involves them when doing projects.
Love ya Dewey!
