June Camping at Scout Mountain

We went to Scout Mountain on Wed to camp for three nights! We had so much fun, and you should have seen the color of the water after the kids bath!! We had this nice little area with a wooded meadow that the kids could run around in. They even found a little old fire pit/fire place that had rubbed down to look like a stone chair. This was there favorite place for adventures. They were knights fighting dragons, or warriors chasing bad guys.... Good thing their imagination is better than mine! The first night we had a skunk run through camp, right between the tent and the dogs... but thankfully he chose to run away and not spray! The second night we had raccoons get into our trailer where we had put our garbage! Lots of fun adventures!

Yes, this is a kitten. Brittany lost her cat a few weeks bac6k and they got a new kitten. It is only 8 weeks old, and doesn't do well by herself yet, so they brought her along. We actually had 4 kids, 5 adults, 6 dogs, and this little kitten with us camping.

Her name is Honey, and she loved to give Eph kisses! Honey is playing in her tunnel... a cat needs exercise too!
Eph loved every minute camping... who wouldn't? There is dirt everywhere! And he had his own bat and ball to play with!
Willard walking Jeter (Keith's dog) on our walk.
Our little hike to the Scout Mountain Overlook... I had to post two because either my kids were looking or Brad.. he wanted to look at the kids, not me!! And yes, that stroller has dogs in it. It is for Brad, it gives him something to lean on, but he needs the dogs weight in it so it doesn't tip him over! They actually love it (the dogs) as one of them only has three legs.

Dewey is pointing out the top of Scout Mountain!

This is Bogie, the three legged pup.

Here is our camp, the kids played down behind me in the dirt and in the shade!!

This is Grandma's new trailer. It was fun for everyone! Especially when it was raining, we all had a place to keep dry, and it was great when I put Eph down for a nap, we could go in the trailer and BE QUIET!!! Thanks Grandma, Brittany and Brad for coming camping with us!! It was so much fun!!
One day we were hot and went looking for water... we found this little streamed dammed up by beavers and played for a little while!

Annie really liked this tree too! I didn't get a shot of her, but she climbed up to Dewey and LOVED IT!!

This was our favorite pasttime... painting rocks. We used washable paints so when it rained our work was gone, but it worked out because we hadn't been able to find any more rocks to paint.

This was the only downfall of bringing paints along... thankfully it didn't happen until the second day, but they didn't do it again because they had to wash off in the cold water!!! They were Indian Warriors!

Dewey caught the sun set through the trees.

This was really cool, watching the sunset and the clounds moving away from camp... a little spooky too!
Eph found his roundabout... he would walk down into camp, find a little trail that went back up to the trailer and back down again!

We had so much fun hiking, playing in the dirt, painting rocks, chasing Eph, playing ball, sleeping on the ground, roasting hot dogs, making smores, cooking over the fire, smelling like smoke, that I think we will do this again next month!!! YEAH FOR CAMPING!

Here are some pictures of the top of Scout Mountain. Dewey went for a ride to the top (well almost) he couldn't get to the very top because their was snow in his way!! But is sure is beautiful!

Outer Limits Fun Zone

Today we went to have a little fun with the kiddos. We went to Pocatello's Outer Limits Fun Zone. The kids had a blast. They have a play center for the kids. Little kid rides for a token. An arcade with dozens of games, including race cars, motorcycle race, bowling, skeeballs, basketball, and lots of others. They have lazer tag and miniature golf by blacklight! Let's just say the kids had a lot of fun!

JoE and Ben racing on the motorcycles.
Willard having his own race on the motorcycle (his favorite thing, and it was RED too!)
Ephers driving the car... beep beep!
We used this airplane to keep him in because we forgot the stroller.

"I am going to drive a real one of these one day~"

Ben was swing on this rope and slipped completely under it.

Ok, I still haven't gotten the hang of this hair cut, and I know what it looks like...
