ANNOUNCING BABY EPHRAIM

IT'S A BOY

Well, these last few days have been fun!! We went to the hospital early on Wednesday morning to be induced. They started me on the pitocin to try and get things going but after a few hours NOTHING was happening and we were just waiting on my doctor to come to break my water. Dewey and my mom were there and we watched movies, played card games, read, and talked. Finally, at 1:30pm my doctor showed up and broke my water, and upped the amount of pitocin. I started having good contractions after that and around 4:30, it looked like I was ready to push! But we had to WAIT....AGAIN!!! My doctor had gone back to the office, and so we had to wait for him to come back through a snow storm. He showed up at 5:15pm and put his gloves on and told me to push. However, our little baby was posterior so the doctor had to use the vaccuum and try and turn the baby over to deliver. Thankfully, even though it felt like hours, it took ten minutes and our little suprise boy came at 5:25 pm!

We named him Ephraim Porter Cook.
He weighed 9 lbs 7 oz and was 22 inches long!

Here is proud dad with his FOURTH child!!

The kids came up the next morning to check on mom and meet the new baby. They bought a stuffed shark and a stuffed teddy bear for the baby and the baby gave them each ...

AIRPLANES!!!!
We loved sitting with mom and meeting Baby Ephraim!

Mom was really happy to see us too! Although she thinks that we have each grown a foot!
