The newly wedded Mr & Mrs Keith Cook...

Then of course we had to do some fireworks for the 4th of July...
Then we gathered the whole Davis clan and had a family reunion up Big Cottonwood Canyon (in Salt Lake) at Ken & Tam's cabin. It is a beautiful place where we all fit quite nicely! It was fun to have everyone together. The kids paired off with cousins and played in the stream or did crafts and coloring, or made puppets (and even wrote a play). There was hiking and walks and lots of games. My favorite was the last night when all the adults played games together after the kids went to bed. It is fun to be grown ups (well most of us) and see how we have changed or stayed the same, and when playing games true personalities shine through!
Thar's a bar (there's a bear), Whar? (Where), Ova Thar (over there)
After the reunion, Willard had a not so fun reunion with Dr. Stotts the orthopedic surgeon he saw for his club feet. His feet needed corrective casts to help stretch those tendons to the right position. He will wear two sets of casts, each for two weeks. He will wear braces again at night, and might possibly have another surgery on his right tendon to loosen it.
We also blessed Ruby on August 1st. It was so beautiful and wonderful. I am thankful for Dewey and that he does so much for us! The dress Ruby was blessed in is the same one I was blessed in. My Aunt DD did all the embroidery on it.
After coming home from Salt Lake for Willard's second set of casts we stopped at Smith and Edwards and saw this. We actually went and got some take out and went back and watched these guys for thirty minutes. It was definitely a great way to spend the day!!
